How many experiences can I choose from the gift box?
A Tinggly gift box allows the recipient to choose ONE experience from hundreds, in over 100 destinations right around the world.
Are flight tickets included in Tinggly gift boxes?
No, travel to the destination is not included. The recipient will need to make their own way to the destination where the experience takes place. Usually, you are given specific instructions on pick-up/meeting-point locations. In the case of some experiences that use two or more locations, transport between them may be included, in which case this will be mentioned in the description.
Are Tinggly experiences private?
Some are but the majority are group activities.
Do you have experiences online?
No, at the moment all of our experiences take place in a physical location - you have to be there.
If I pay using one currency (i.e. USD), can the gift be used in another country with different currency (i.e. EUR)?
That is exactly how Tinggly works! A Tinggly gift box is NOT a value gift card, but more like a choice voucher where the recipient chooses one experience included in the gift box collection.
What is the size of Tinggy gift box?
The dimensions of Tinggly box are 21 x 16 x 2 cm or 9'' x 6'' x 1''. It weighs 300 g or 0.7 lbs.
What is the difference between an eco-certificate and a gift voucher?
After your purchase, you will receive two emails. The first will contain your gift voucher which can be used to book an experience. The second will contain your Tinggly Activist eco certificate, which is our commitment to you that we will continue our sustainability program in your name.
If I choose a gift box delivery option straight to the recipient, will they receive an email notification in their email beforehand?
No. We only collect email addresses as they are required by the courier. You can feel free to write your own email address instead.
If I order more than one gift voucher and choose physical box delivery, will the vouchers come in separate boxes?
How can I get a promo code?
We regularly have promotions on our website but the easiest way is to subscribe to our newsletter - you will receive a 10% discount on your first gift card purchase.
Do you deliver worldwide?
Yes, except to truly remote locations where DHL doesn’t yet provide a delivery service.
How long does it take to deliver a gift box?
Typically, gift boxes to destinations in mainland Europe arrive within 1-2 business days and in the USA within 1-5 days. For other locations delivery may take 2-5 business days, depending on your location.
What is included in the gift box?
A Tinggly gift box includes a physical voucher along with your personalised greeting, added at the time of purchase. It also contains a beautifully produced brochure about Tinggly and the evolution of the experience gifting culture. The gift box comes with an attractive outer sleeve depicting your chosen collection. You don't even need to put any extra effort into wrapping, it looks amazing as it is and is ready to present.
Do I need to make a reservation through the Tinggly website or can I go directly to the experience provider?
Yes, you need to book your experience through our website. The Tinggly team will make a reservation and exchange your voucher code for the tickets for the specific experience.
Once I enter my code, do I have to book an experience immediately?
No, you can continue to browse the redemption page without confirming your experience, in case you change your mind.
When will I receive a confirmation?
We aim to confirm all reservations within 48 hours at the latest. However, if in the experience description it is written that confirmation will be received at the time of booking, you will receive your tickets immediately.
What is your cancellation policy?
Once you book a specific date with an activity supplier you are bound by their terms and conditions, including those regarding cancellations.
How can I cancel my booking?
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org unless it is a same-day cancellation. In that case please call the local operator at the contacts available on your ticket.
Where can I find contact details of the local operator?
Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive all the necessary information about the local agent or company that will be providing your experience.
I want to add another participant, how can I do that?
In many cases, for an additional cost you can add a companion to your booking, and often as many companions as you wish. While making a booking through our redemption page, write us a message outlining the details (you can do this at the last stage of the booking process). We’ll get back to you with information regarding availability, along with the additional cost details.

Can I book an experience from a cheaper gift box?
Yes. However, at present, we don’t have an option to offer credit, so you might receive another Tinggly voucher, or discount, for your next purchase depending on the value of your chosen experience.
Why can I not make a reservation for my selected date?
Reservations for an experience should be made at least 2 days in advance. However, due to limited availability, and busy vacation periods, we recommend booking your experience a minimum of 1-2 weeks in advance.
What can I do if the activity provider has cancelled my activity?
Unfortunately - due to no fault of Tinggly - this can happen from time to time. If it’s possible for you to do the activity on another time/day, we recommend arranging this directly with the activity organizer. If not, contact us and your gift box will be reactivated so you can choose from any other experience available.
Can I extend my voucher?
We have recently changed our expiration date policy, and all of our vouchers, including the ones purchased before this change, no longer have an expiration date. So you can use your gift whenever you want!
Can I transfer my voucher to another person?
Yes, our gift vouchers are not nominative. If for some reason you are unable to use your voucher you can regift it to somebody else. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to do so.
Can I upgrade my gift box? i.e. from Premium to Ultimate collection?
Sure, why not? Simply go to our website and choose the collection you’d like to upgrade to, and add it to the basket. In the discount field, enter your original voucher code and you’ll receive a discount equal to the value of your original voucher.
Can I exchange a recommended experience for another?
Yes. If you have a voucher with a recommended experience you’re not wedded to it. You can book any other experience or activity you want from that same gift box.
What is a Tinggly activist?
Anyone that purchases one of our gift boxes becomes a Tinggly Activist. With every gift box you buy, you help to remove 33 lbs(kg) of plastic from our oceans and offset the CO2 carbon emissions of the average experience by 200%. Find out about our sustainability program here.
How do you offset CO2 emissions?
We know that carbon offsetting isn’t the answer to climate change, but we see it as a good place to start while we look at other ways in which we can reduce Tinggly’s carbon emissions.
We offset emissions through our partner ClimateCare.org who invest in renewable carbon capture technologies. All calculations are made by Katalista Ventures. You can find our certificate here.
How do you remove plastic from the oceans?
Our partnership with Plastic Bank ensures that plastic is physically removed from the environment, recycled, and reused in what’s known as a closed-loop system - meaning the plastic in circulation is continuously reused and recycled.

Tinggly gift does not have an expiry, so the recipients can book their dream experience at any convenient time.
The gift collections are purchased from the website www.tinggly.com. All purchases require full payment.
You are advised of the accepted methods of payment at the time of purchase. We do not accept payment by cheque or postal order and you cannot pay in instalments. Discount codes can only be used to purchase gift collections and are not valid while purchasing gifts cards.
We will send confirmation of your order to you via email.
The gift collections are delivered either by e-mail or by post.
Please note, some e-mail accounts may classify our e-mail as 'spam' email. We are not liable or responsible for any loss suffered as a result of an e-mail being blocked by web filters or firewalls. If a recipient does not receive an e-mail from Tinggly, please contact us immediately so that we can send the e-mail to an alternative e-mail address.
The invoice will be sent to the purchaser by email if chosen at the time of purchase.
Please note that all bookings are made subject to the ACTIVITY Supplier’s terms and conditions. Upon making a booking, you will be bound by that Supplier’s terms and conditions. You may access the relevant Supplier’s terms and conditions by viewing that supplier’s website or requesting a copy of their terms and conditions to be supplied to you.
In order to enjoy your chosen activity and to arrange a convenient time for doing it, you must redeem your voucher via Tinggly website in advance. We recommend that bookings/redemptions are made 14 days in advance at the very least. Many dates, such as weekends and holiday periods, are very popular and may not be available unless a substantial period of notice is given to the activity supplier.
Please note that some activities only have fixed dates available to choose from and cannot be tailor-made to suit each and every clients’ preferred dates and times.
Please note that once you have a confirmed booking with an activity supplier, it may not be possible for you to change your mind and cancel or rearrange the booking. Once booked, you stick to activity supplier's terms and conditions.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase of a gift, please contact us and we will be happy to refund the full cost of your un-booked gift to the purchaser. A refund of a gift will no longer be available once that gift has been used to make a booking with an activity supplier. Refunds are always made to the person who purchased the voucher, and if originally purchased by credit or debit card, the refund will be credited to the same card. Refunds are not issued for the delivery fee paid if a physical gift box had been purchased. Please note: depending on your location and banks involved:

● The wire transfer may be paid in a currency used for the original purchase
● Your bank may charge a wire fee
Once you book a specific date with an activity supplier you are bound by their terms and conditions, including those regarding cancellations.
In the event that an activity supplier needs to cancel the activity after you have booked a date, they should contact you. We strongly recommend however, that you contact the activity supplier the day before you depart for your activity.
In the event of an activity being cancelled for any reason we will not be held liable for the cost of lost insurance premiums, travel expenses, pre-booked accommodation costs, or other cost or expense incurred in connection with the activity.
Please note, that the activities may require waiting times, especially as some are weather dependant. There is also the possibility of short notice cancellation by an activity supplier due to weather, mechanical problems, staff illness or other unforeseen circumstances beyond the supplier’s control.
In the event that an activity is cancelled you should simply re-book with the activity supplier concerned.
If you or your recipient are not satisfied with the gift box purchased you may exchange it for an alternative gift box from our range, provided that you have not booked the activity with the activity supplier.
If the new gift box is of greater cost than the gift box previously purchased then the difference must be paid by you. If it is of a lower cost than the gifts that has been purchased, no cash refund will be given.
Once an activity has been booked it cannot under any circumstances be exchanged or refunded. Only one exchange is permitted. Exchanged gifts are non refundable.
We act as a booking intermediary for independent activity suppliers who may make changes to their prices at any time. We ask activity suppliers to inform us about price changes in advance and to not charge extra for gifts already sold, but in very rare cases we reserve the right to make variations to prices at any time without notice.
All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
The nature of some of the services that are promoted on Tinggly.com are dangerous. Prior to ordering or participating in any activity you should be aware of the risks involved. Responsibility rests with you to make independent enquiries with the supplier and other third parties as to the need for you or the participant to acquire your own insurance cover.
Please note that the activity suppliers might arrange their own liability insurance, which may provide insurance for participants covering them in cases where the supplier acts negligently. We advise you to check the terms of any such insurance that the activity suppliers may provide.
Many activities have restrictions (such as age, height, weight, physical and medical limitations) which may vary from supplier to supplier, so please check these before purchasing a gifts. Details of these restrictions in each case are available on our website or can be provided on request.
If the person who is to go on the activity has any doubts about their medical fitness, they should consult their doctor before booking the activity.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you select an experience appropriate for the intended recipient and it is the responsibility of the recipient to confirm that the activity is suitable for them prior to booking.
We will not refund any gifts if the participant cannot comply with a supplier’s restrictions and are turned away from the supplier’s venue.
The descriptions on this site are as accurate as we can make them, however there may be some variations. Photographs, illustrations and details, such as the particular equipment, vehicle or route followed are subject to change depending on the specific conditions on the day.
The stated total duration is an indication of the time you are likely to spend at the venue and may slightly differ for each participant.

In case of a problem with an activity, please speak to the activity supplier on the day, so they have the opportunity to resolve any problems there and then. Failure to highlight issues on the day of the activity may jeopardise investigations and result in an unsatisfactory outcome.
If your complaint is not resolved on the day, you must write to us within one week (7 days), providing us with your booking reference, the name and surname of the activity supplier’s representative who you highlighted the complaint to on the day and full details of your complaint.
If either of us fails to comply with these terms and conditions, neither of us shall be responsible for any losses that the other suffers as a result, except for those losses which are a foreseeable consequence of the failure to comply with these terms and conditions at the time we entered into this contract with one another.
We reserve the right to transfer liabilities to a third party in case of a merger or sale of the business.
Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits in any way our liability for:
(a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
(b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
(c) any breach of the obligations implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 or section 2 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982; or
(d) defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
Many activities promoted on Tinggly.com are dependent on the weather and we advise you to call and check with the supplier whether the weather conditions are suitable for the booked activity. If your activity is cancelled because of the weather, you will be able to rebook for a date on which you are able to attend. In the event of cancellation, Tinggly.com will not be held liable for the cost of lost insurance premiums, travel expenses, pre-booked accommodation costs or any other costs incurred.
