It was thrilling and we absolutely loved it. The guide on the boat was great and we got a wonderful tour of the things along the rive. The speed was awesome.
We were in an open boat which the driver piloted most of the time like a maniac, possibly about 25 mph, swerving around to provide some fun. A couple of young girls were squealing with excitement. The speed added to the cold. When we exited the boat we were frozen. We found our way to a cafe where we thawed out. Afterwards we were totally exhilarated. It was really great fun. So many thanks.
Get ready for a hair-raising adventure on the Thames. Aboard one of London’s fastest speedboats, you’ll zoom along the river at speed, sometimes at a 45 degree angle! A fun commentary will explain the history of the sights you’re passing, from Embankment Pier to Canary Wharf and back, and under Tower Bridge, all the while with Monty Norman’s famous theme blasting out of the PA system. A conventional sightseeing tour, this ain’t!
Described as being like “a rollercoaster on water”, this 50 minute ride on a high-speed RIB boat is certainly not one for the faint-hearted. But if you’ve got a need for speed, and want to do something a bit out of the ordinary while you’re in London, away from the standard tourist fare, then this is for you!
