- Ranked one of Australia’s best coastal experiences
- This is the perfect location to try this sport
So you’ve tried surfing and snowboarding - what’s next? Try sandboarding, which is much the same except that instead of on water or snow, you’re ripping down towering sand dunes. Sounds like fun? Then this Australia experience is for you, plus two friends! The wide open beaches and huge dunes here are ideal for this fun sport, and with all the instruction you need provided, you’ll be carving a trail like a pro in no time.
Starting early, refreshments are provided before a few brief lessons. Then you’ll be heading off to tackle the epic ‘Superbowl’, a staggering 280ft sand crater. Bring a packed lunch along because after your lesson you’ll be spending a little time in Lucky Bay Lagoon, where the snorkelling is magnificent, with tropical fish and coral as far as the eye can see. A full-on day out, and a great way to experience a side of the Australian coast many don’t.
