A great experience and wonderful hosts.
Your day gets off to an enjoyable start with a pleasant boat journey across the Chao Phraya river to the cookery school, where your teacher will be expecting you. After a welcome ceremony with drinks and typical Thai snacks, it’s on with aprons and hats, and to your cookery station, where you’ll learn to prepare some of Thailand’s most popular and tasty dishes including Tom Yum Goong and Pad Thai. Using fresh ingredients, you’ll be equipped with step-by-step instructions to ensure your dish smells, looks and tastes incredible.
All herbs for the food such as kaffir lime, guinea pepper and plate brush will be selected by you from the school’s nursery garden, and you’ll learn how and when to incorporate them into the dish so that it is perfectly seasoned. Although the flavourings and aromas of Thai food often seem complex, it is actually fairly simple to prepare, so you’ll come away having learned a great deal. You will of course be invited to share the meal also, on a pretty veranda overlooking the canal. One of the best days out you’ll get in Bangkok.
