- The best way to explore a city built on water is to see it from the water
- It is a quintessential Venetian experience - an idyllic gondola ride along the city’s scenic waterways
- Perfect for sampling the sights Venice
Venice has long been one of Europe’s most enduringly-popular destinations, a city of unparalleled beauty, that is best explored by boat. Beginning at the Church della Madonna Salute, entrance to the Grand Canal, one of the major water corridors, you’ll have plenty of time to take in examples of majestic Renaissance architecture all around, some gently fading, others elegantly restored.
Your traditional gondola will pass beneath bridges, past grand palazzos, and homes in the Baroque, Gothic and Neoclassical styles. Bring a camera, and also a flask of something if it’s a cold day (blankets will be provided) and let this stunning city of timeless romance unfold before you.
A must for anyone visiting Venice! It's a bummer that the gondoliers don't sing anymore. However, we found everything fantastic!
Definitely one of those things you must experience when you go to Venice, especially as a couple. It was highly memorable! Great experience.
