This place is so run down and not anything like it promises on line. I was too scared to ride but my husband did and he said they took more pictures than any real riding. The part where they are suppose to canter a bit is about a two minutes long two times. The people were nice enough but I would not recommend this place to anyone. They tell you movie stars were there and that is true, many years ago for a movie. I met a filmmaker that was there. The stars were not there by sole choice. It also was run by someone else at the time.

This was amazing! About 1 hour from lahaina but worth the drive. It was absolutely gorgeous! Stunning views Rocky, our guide was informative and knowledgeable about the property and horses. Absolutely great time!

Experience description

Join real ‘paniolos’ (Hawaiian cowboys) on an unforgettable journey as they lead you on horseback through Maui's Mendes Ranch. Canter up green pastures to the edge of a lush tropical valley, admire views of the Pacific seascape, and discover some of the island's largest waterfalls on your 1.5-hour morning or afternoon ride.

The "Oceanfront Trail Ride" begins at the Mendes Ranch Corral and will take you down the edge of the scenic valley to the coastline where you will have an opportunity to view the magnificent waters of the Pacific Ocean before heading back up to the corral.
At the coastline, our trail guides will take photos of you using your cell phone with the majestic seascape in the background.
