Enjoy astonishing bird’s eye views over the vast, desolate scenery of the Central Australian Outback with this superb hot air ballooning gift experience. Departing from the remote town of Alice Springs, gateway to the ‘Red Centre’, you’ll be transported to the launch site in time for a pre-dawn departure. Early morning is the best time for ballooning over the Outback - you avoid the full heat of the day, and there are excellent opportunities to see wildlife including red kangaroo at one of their most active times of day. Plus, of course,
sunrise over the Outback is a magnificent sight.

As you lift gently upwards in the cool pre-dawn, the morning sun is just beginning to illuminate the rugged MacDonnell Ranges, mountains of stunning beauty. Gliding through the air, you can really get a sense of how remote this area is, how wild and untouched. The flight lasts for around 30 minutes, after which you’ll land miles from the nearest road. Before pick-up, in an atmosphere of absolute tranquility, it’s the perfect time to break out the refreshments - sparkling wine, or a virgin cocktail, with muffins, fresh fruit and cheeses -
