- The adventure to see the best of Volcanoes National Park
- See the Kilauea Iki crater
- A visit to the world-famous Volcano Winery, the southernmost winery in the United States
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us throughout the south eastern part of the island where much of the lava and the active volcano are. We had dinner at a winery with wine tasting. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience as did my boyfriend.
We think this Hawaii excursion is among the most exciting in our portfolio. You will start with a drive along the historic waterfront and head out to the old fishing village of Kalapana. During the drive your professional guide will discuss volcanology, geology, fauna, flora and history of Kilauea Volcano, and explain about various lava flows. Your will stop at the new black sand beach and Star of the Sea Painted Church famous for colorful history and paintings.
Next stop is Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. You will visit the Kilauea Visitor’s Center, the Kilauea Iki Crater Overlook, and Steaming Bluffs, and enjoy incredible views of Kilauea Caldera. Finally, you will reach Volcano Winery, where you can sample up to eight different types of wines, and enjoy a delicious Hawaiian BBQ lunch.
