- See locations unknown to most visitors
My wife and I were in Venice for our honeymoon. We were originally gifted a gondola ride by a friend, but decided to switch it up and take the food and wine tour with Lara. WE WERE THRILLED WITH OUR DECISION! Lara was amazing! Not only did she take us to cute and quaint bars off the beaten path, but she was so knowledgable with the Venetian history. Her English was astounding and she was great with cute jokes along the way. We would totally do this tour again with Lara again and will be recommending this experience to any and everyone going to Venice.
Venice is a city made for sightseeing, its beautiful palaces, squares and bridges providing a wealth of photographic opportunities. This evening guided tour of Venice is the perfect way to wind down after a busy day, and in the style of a true Venetian too. Join a professional guide for an enjoyable walk around the magnificent Jewish quarter, during which you’ll be entertained by the local version of happy hour! Explore winding alleys, picturesque bridges over the canals that inspired Shakespeare’s ‘Merchant of Venice’, and sidewalks lined with cafes and restaurants off the usual tourist path.
Naturally, as you move between bàcari (wine bars) you’ll build up an appetite and a thirst, but this Venice gift experience has plenty to keep you going. Sample delicious cicchettis, plates of traditional starters (sorry, no gluten-free or vegan dishes can be prepared on this tour) and superb Italian wines as you mingle with the locals. We think this is one of the best tours to see a side of Venice that many visitors sadly do not, and it’s sure to be one of the most memorable evenings of your stay.
