Discover the mystery and majesty of Angkor Wat with this two-day Cambodia gift experience. You’ll travel from Siem Reap out to the Small Circuit of Angkor Thom to admire the famed Bayon Temple with its smiling faces carved from stone, and the 10th century Hindu temple of Phimeanakas. You’ll see the Terrace of the Elephants, where legendary Angkor rulers would have stood as they watched their returning armies, before entering Angkor Wat itself. Tangled up in thick jungle and fig tree roots, this incredible temple complex built in honour of the god Vishnu is thought to be the largest religious monument in the world.
After leaving Angkor Wat you’ll return to Siem Reap for dinner, accompanied by a traditional Apsara dance show. Next day, you’ll be driven to the beautiful red sandstone Banteay Srei Temple, and then on to the temple of Ta Prohm, which you may well recognise from the ‘Tomb Raider’ movie. In the afternoon, another highlight of your Siem Reap gift experience, a mesmerising boat journey through the flooded forest to Kampong Phluk, an atmospheric floating village, where you may see a truly spectacular sunset, before the journey back to the city.
