Tragically, the African lion is in serious decline, the number of lions in the wild having fallen by about 80-90% in the last 30 years. This conservation centre aims to reverse the decline and reintroduce as many of these wonderful animals back into the wild as they can, and an excellent, ethical way they can raise funds is by allowing visitors to enjoy this incredibly special experience.
Morning and afternoon session are available, beginning with a briefing on the conservation programme and safety. You’ll then accompany lion cubs on a relaxed stroll around the grounds. with a guide and handler by your side. Other animals you may encounter include zebra, impala and baboons, although be sure they’ll be keeping a safe distance from your new friend! This is a truly unforgettable experience, the sensation of being next to these beautiful, immensely powerful big cats is totally unreal, plus you have the knowledge that your visit is helping them to survive in the wild.
