- Burj Khalifa - the tallest building in the world
- Ascend in the world's fastest lift
- Enjoy incredible 360-degree views of the entire city
Your visit to the top of the world must begin with the lift, because you seriously don’t want to take the stairs. Ascending at a rate of 64km (40 miles) per hour to the 124th floor, that’s 18m (54 ft) a second! The Burj Khalifa skyscraper, the jewel in the crown of Dubai’s quest for technological development, stands at 829.8m (2,722ft). Estimates indicate that to wash the entire exterior would take a team of 36 people between 3 and 4 months, so try not to smudge the windows. On arrival at the observatory, you’ll be invited to have your photo taken by a photographer, capturing forever this special moment atop the iconic building.
Also on the 124th floor are a series of fascinating multimedia exhibits that showcase the history, design and construction of the skyscraper, helping you to better understand the creativity and drive behind the project. It’s worth paying in advance to use the Behold telescope, which lets you see the surrounding area in real-time, as well as saved views during different time periods and weather conditions. Visit the Burj Khalifa, and prepare to be amazed.
