Good to know:

You cannot bring your own camera on the jump but souvenir photo and video packages are available for a supplement
Wear warm, layered clothing and flat, closed toe shoes. Goggles can fit over glasses
You cannot jump if you have been scuba diving within the last 24 hours
Instructors may take individuals up to 115kg, subject to assessment and Safety Officer approval. If 95kg or over, surcharges apply.

Experience description

It doesn’t matter if this tandem skydive in Cairns is your first jump, or your 1000th, the scenery here will blow your mind. You’ll enjoy absolutely fantastic views over the rainforests, and of course the islands and coral reefs that make up the world-famous Great Barrier Reef as you climb up to 15,000 feet in a small aircraft, then take the leap of faith into the sky. The freefall on this jump is around 60 seconds, during which you’ll reach astonishing speeds of up to 220km per hour! The rush is simply incredible, and definitely on a par with
the scenery.

The GBR is the largest coral reef system in the world, and there are many excitIng ways to discover it, but there’s no better means of appreciating its sheer scale and beauty than by skydiving above it. After your minute of freefall, the parachute will pop open and you’ll drift gently down to earth over five minutes or so. Your professional instructor will take complete control, so all you need to do is relax and enjoy the ride. This is a rush you’ll never forget.
