The evening was great. All well organised
The Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna is without question among the foremost jewels of Austrian heritage. Historically, culturally and architecturally, this majestic Baroque palace, with almost 1500 rooms, holds immense significance. An evening of pure bliss awaits you here. Begin with a sumptuous, candlelit 3-course menu at the nearby Cafe Restaurant Residenz in the Ehrenhof - dishes might include beef consomme with sliced pancake, or home-made apple strudel, before a short stroll to the Orangerie for the entertainment.
Within the elegant surrounds of the Orangeries, full of classical ambience, you will be treated to a selection of the finest works by the legendary Austrian composers Johann Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. An orchestra, accompanied by opera singers, soprano, baritone and ballet dancers, will perform duets and arias from “Le Nozze de Figaro” and “Don Giovanni” among others, and a selection of operetta duets and waltzes from Strauss’s “Die Fledermaus” and “Radetzkymarsch”.
