- Enjoy beautiful renditions of works by Mozart and Strauss
- Performed in a venue rich in musical tradition
You haven’t really seen Vienna until you’ve enjoyed an evening of classical music at the Schonbrunn Palace. This fabulous Vienna gift experience promises an evening of culture and romance, as talented musicians, accompanied by a soprano, a baritone and authentically costumed ballet dancers, take you through a series of works by legendary composers Johann Strauss and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Performed in the Schonbrunn Palace Orangery, a delightful venue full of history, this will surely be a highlight of any stay in the Austrian capital.
Strauss, known in his time as ‘the Waltz King’, was born and raised in Vienna, and enjoyed immense fame throughout Europe. You may hear fragments of some of his best-loved works here, including "Die Fledermaus", "Der Zigeunerbaron", "Donauwalzer" and "Radetzkymarsch". Mozart made his own name in Vienna around a century earlier, and composed many of his own well-known pieces, several of which may be performed, such as the overtures, arias and duets from "Le Nozze di Figaro", "Die Zauberflöte" and "Don Giovanni". We recommend booking yourself into an excellent restaurant nearby for after the concert, for a truly unforgettable night at the opera.
