The Neretva River in its upper course is said to be one of the most beautiful gorges in Europe
The water in the summer is so clear that you can see 5 metres deep
The rapids are within the third degree, so not dangerous, but they are excellent for a good time
Even among the beautiful rivers of the Dinaric Alps region, the Neretva is regarded as something special. Of significant cultural and historical interest (archaeological finds in the area have been dated to the 1st century BC), it is also a habitat for several endangered and endemic species. Your guides will be happy to tell you stories of the river as you cruise through this peaceful and diverse wooded landscape.
Your day begins with a typical Bosnian breakfast of doughnuts, cheeses and coffee - perfect rafting fuel, before your safety briefing. Then you’ll be suited and booted, and out onto the Neretva for an 18km (11 mile) journey downriver. Tackle the rapids, pose for photos, and take a dip during the quiet bits - and don’t forget your guides will be filming the entire experience so you can buy a souvenir for late! After you complete the course, head to the clubhouse terrace for a victory celebration!
Fun rafting trip along the river with rapids, and lots of opportunity for swimming
