- Explore an area of unparalleled natural beauty
- Action-packed but accessible experience
- Enjoy a traditional Greek picnic
Legend has it that Zeus, the Ancient Greek God of sky and thunder and Ruler of the Olympians, would bathe himself in the waters of the Lousios River, a 23km stretch of water on the Greek mainland, near Tripoli. You can see why he would choose to make his ablutions here - this is a simply gorgeous part of the world, a natural paradise one might even say, with dense, lush vegetation and sparkling, crystal-clear waters. On this fun-filled experience, you’ll be passing along the river at speed, and if you’re not careful, you may end up taking a bath yourself! Prepare to raft the Lousios Gorge...
Beginning in the Lousios Gorge, you’ll take a descent of 2nd degree difficulty along the river as far as the bridge of Koukos. This is a journey of some difficulty, though no prior experience is necessary and of course you’ll have professional instructor/guides accompanying you all the way. This is a fun-packed morning out, and to top it off, once you lay down your paddles you’ll be rewarded with a delicious traditional Greek picnic lunch.
