Enjoy a truly royal day out with a visit to the Queens Gallery followed by a delicious afternoon tea at St. James’ Hotel Mayfair. St. James’s hotel offers an historical themed 1840 Afternoon Tea, designed by Executive chef William Drabble of in-house Michelin star restaurant. Guests will be transported to Victorian times and taste classic cakes of that period, keeping its originality but with a modern day twist.
Explore the current exhibition at The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace. Between November 2019 and May 2020 explore the special exhibition: George IV: Art & Spectacle which present’s Georges’ life through the art that enriched his world.
From June 2020 enjoy the special exhibition: Japan: Courts and Culture. Explore the most significant examples of Japanese art and design from around the world.
You will then take a short stroll to enjoy your afternoon tea at The St. James Hotel which will include a selection of sandwiches, cakes, scones with clotted cream and jam, accompanied by tea or coffee.
