- Explore the paradise island of Baru
- Local guide shows you the finest La Manga viewpoints
The picturesque island of Baru, not far from historic Cartagena, has many stunning beaches, but none of them can rival the Playa Blanca. The gorgeous white sands here are famous and though the beach has become a lot busier in recent years, it is still a must-see destination when staying in Cartagena. You’ll join a guided tour that not only gives you plenty of time to enjoy the beach, but also takes you around several notable neighbourhoods on La Manga island, such as Bosque and Mamonal.
Crossing the Capo Elias Teran over to Baru, you’ll travel by comfortable air-conditioned bus. Your guide will be able to recommend good beachside restaurants where you can enjoy a typical lunch, or you may prefer to sample the wares of the vendors who will often sell fresh oysters. You can spend the rest of the day suntanning, diving into the crystal clear waters, and getting to know Colombian beach culture at its best.
