I had signed up for an English tour since I do NOT speak any other language. When the guide/driver came for pick up, she spoke English. However, when everyone was picked up, she started speaking in Mandarin, I had to remind her that I paid for an English tour. She then spoke English and Mandarin. The English version was maybe 10 seconds, while the Mandarin version was way longer. I know I did NOT get a full explanation of the tour. However, I did get to see the aurora which was awesome. I had a 2nd tour signed up via Viator operated by Canada Arctic Tours who was amazing. The tour was in English and I actually got ton of history/background on the Northern Lights. Although we did NOT get to see the lights due to snow, I was actually okay because I was able to get the details of the lights. SO, if you're interested in English tour, you may have a better luck with Canada Arctic Tours although this company was slightly more. Then there's the bus.... The bus kept breaking down and the driver did NOT keep the heat on. So, the bus was extremely cold and was nervous the whole time.
