Northern Lights and Husky Experience with Dinner in Tromsø for Two

Drive just 30 minutes from downtown Tromsø and you’re in an ideal place to view the incredible Northern Lights. The aurora borealis is one of the most spectacular natural phenomenons you’re ever likely to see, as light particles from the sun enter our atmosphere they appear to dance brightly across the sky leaving those who see them breathless with excitement. This Norway gift experience sees you waiting for the lights to appear in an authentic lavvo, a Sami tent. Hopefully you will be able to see the lights - this being a natural spectacle it cannot be guaranteed - and if they do show up, you can either sit in a chair, or lie down on a reindeer skin for a fantastic performance!

It can get pretty cold out there in the semi-wilderness, so you’ll be served coffee and cake during your wait, as well as a traditional meal of bacalao, made with tomato and Norwegian cod. You can toast marshmallows around the fire, or hang out with the camp’s resident husky population - there are about 300 of them! Once seen, the Northern Lights are never forgotten, and heading away from the city is the best way to admire them in their full glory. We’ve got our fingers crossed for you!
