In this 90-minute laid-back class (7-8:30 PM), food writer and chocolate lover Megan Giller will help you discover how craft chocolates can be combined with artisan cheeses to create the most delicious pairings you've ever tasted. Megan will give you an inside look at how artisans transform cacao beans into chocolate and will delight you with the stories behind the small-batch chocolate and cheese makers. You'll also taste delicacies like whole cacao beans and discover how cacao beans have terroir, like wine grapes. Lest you forget this amazing night, each guest will take home an autographed copy of Megan's new book,

After meeting Megan in a gorgeous, comfortable locale in central New York City, you'll get to know your fellow guests with a fun icebreaker game. Then we'll get started tasting the best chocolates and cheeses in the world.
In front of you, you'll find a curated selection of five artisan chocolates and five artisan cheeses, as well as cacao beans and palate cleansers of green apples and water crackers. Megan will guide you through each pairing, telling you the behind-the-scenes story of each chocolate and each cheese as well as how to make bean-to-bar chocolate. You'll discover unusual and delicious flavors in the pairings such as "tropical fruit and mangoes," "pot roast and mashed potatoes," and "banana split with peanuts and hot fudge."
