There’s no doubt about it, Hoover Dam is a pretty spectacular sight from the ground, but on this incredible tour you’ll also be afforded the rare opportunity of viewing this massive feat of engineering from the sky. To start what will be a day-long adventure, you’ll be picked up from your hotel on the Strip and whisked to Boulder City and the Hoover Dam in a luxury motorcoach. On the way, your guide will give you the whole back-story of the Dam, its construction, the people involved, and the surrounding countryside.
After lunch, a representative of the Bureau of Reclamation will lead you on a V.I.P tour of the dam’s lower levels. Then, it’s time to take a walk across the top of the dam and into the generator room to learn about the dam’s inner workings and the whole process of energy generation. Next, it’s off to the heliport where you'll be taken on a ten-mile aerial tour, over the Dam itself and the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial bridge. This is a really unique way of experiencing one of America’s true icons of construction, endeavor, and engineering.
