Experience description

Just an hour off the coast of Cairns, Green Island must surely be one of Australia's most scenic locations. This relaxing boat tour takes you directly to the island, where you can stretch out on the white sands, feet in the ocean, or take part in a range of fun activities such as snorkelling among the many colourful fish in these waters and watching a feeding demonstration, taking a self-guided walk along a marked trail, a glass-bottomed boat tour, or even paying a little extra to hire a canoe for the day.

Back in the nineteenth century, coconut palms were planted on Green Island to feed shipwrecked sailors. While you’re unlikely to find yourself in such a predicament today, why not try a coconut-flavoured cocktail as you relax on a sun-lounger admiring the view? The boat’s friendly crew will moor up for at least five hours, including a delicious buffet lunch, giving you plenty of time to enjoy a taste of island life before the return to harbour (Boo! Hiss!).
