Everything was organized from A to Z with nothing on our side to worry about. It was perfect!
The dive was very nice and our guide Nyoman was very kind and patient! It was just us and him on the dive and he was very attentive. The pick up was timely. We saw many fish and a sea turtle! It was very good for beginners. We suggest bringing a change of clothes, towel, snacks and sunscreen. We highly recommend this experience! Re: Advertised lunch in package: The only miss was the restaurant that is used as a sort of homebase when you arrive at Blue Lagoon to change- then return to for shower and lunch before we depart. It was filled with flies and the bathrooms were not clean and very pungent. We are both true vegetarian (no eggs fish, meat) and my meal arrived with a fried baby fish head in the potato fritters. Also, turns out the fritter contained egg. We had to move tables because of flies. Our guide served as a kind translator and helped get us veg sandwiches and the staff was very apologetic but it did leave us a little stressed, grossed out, and hungry. Our advice is to change homebase or provide the restaurant with feedback since it will affect the Bali Dive business. Aside from the restaurant /Homebase experience, we highly suggest Dive Bali.
The Blue Lagoon off the eastern coast of Bali is an idyllic spot - beaches of white sand, and not too touristy, perfect for learning to dive. This excellent Indonesia experience sees you receive the vital basics of diving instruction from a qualified expert, before you head beneath the waves for an introductory dive. The water here is exceptionally clear, with visibility up to 50ft (15m), allowing you to see a rich variety of fish and other marine creatures in their native habitat.
Underwater photographers would be in their element here, with sharks, squids, octopi and turtles frequent visitors to these waters. You might also encounter razor fish, snake eels, and sea cucumbers as your guide shows you around the colourful coral formations. This is a great experience for those, who doesn't have enough for full PADI Open Water Course.
