- A one-of-a-kind gastronomic tour
- Enjoy a taste of the real Cambodia
- Let your foodie host show you the best places to eat
This superb foodie tour is one of the finest in the Tinggly portfolio, allowing you not just to taste a range of delicious Cambodian dishes, guided by a local who knows the best joints in town to grab a bite, but to see a side of the country few other visitors will experience. Following a day of wandering the markets, stopping at up to seven different places, you’ll visit the Hope Learning Centre to meet a group of underpriviliged children and brighten their day. Spending the night at a comfortable guesthouse in a nearby village, you’ll meet local people and witness their unique way of life. This tour doesn’t just give you a satisfied stomach, it feeds your mind.
A feast for the senses starts early. Life in Phnom Penh begins with breakfast, around 8am. Try a bowl of noodles, or rice porridge for your energy boost. Then browse the Central Market where those with more adventurous appetites can try all manner of weird and wonderful delicacies, including tarantulas! Later, pair a classic Khmer baguette with a sweet fruit shake, and cool off with a traditional ice cream, but don’t eat too much as you’ll need to save room for a seafood feast that evening too.
