Day Trip to La Tigra and El Picacho Park for Two

Fresh air, fantastic exercise and scenery to take your breath away, that’s what this Honduras gift experience is all about, and for nature-lovers, it’s a must. You’ll be picked up from your Tegucigalpa hotel early in the morning and travel by Land Cruiser 4x4 to La Tigra National Park, the first to be created in Honduras. Here you’ll be given a map of the trails, and set off to cross the park, meeting on the other side, at Jutiapa, by 2pm. Along the way you’ll encounter waterfalls, wildlife and all the spectacular sightseeing you’d expect from a trek through a tropical cloud forest.

From Jutiapa, you’ll then drive over to El Picacho National Park, a hilltop area of greenery overlooking Tegucigalpa, the Honduran capital and a fantastic place to snap some more photographs before heading back to your hotel. This full-day hiking tour through La Tigra and El Picacho is a great way to escape the city hustle for a few hours, and to immerse yourselves in stunning natural landscapes.
