- Alappuzha is known as “the Venice of the East”, just with paddy fields and lush coconut palm groves
- A houseboat cruise in these backwaters is a delightful experience
- The most popular attraction in Kerala

From the first minute of the cruize, it was a wonderful experience. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, they looked after our every need. Everything was organised, especially timing, being picked up on time, being left at the resort from the boat was super. Nothing was a problem. A wonderful experience. Thank you.
The boat cruise was so tranquil and relaxing with stunning views of beautiful palm trees and life along the waters. It was great to just sit and take it all in at the end of our 5 week journey around India. The food we had for lunch and breakfast was good and really tasty, but unfortunately, it was obvious that the dinner certainly wasn't fresh and was served cold. We also found that the staff could have been friendlier and more professional and the fact it was a honeymoon voucher experience, there was no special addition to the cruise for this which we'd expected Tinggly to have informed the tour operator about.
Alappuzha, in the southern state of Kerala, is at the meeting-point of the Arabian Sea and the network of rivers that flow into it. Immensely popular with visitors from around the country and further afield, the area will captivate you with its outstanding heritage and beauty. From beneath the sunshade on deck of your houseboat, perhaps with cocktail in hand, you’ll watch the beautiful scenery drift slowly by.
Floating along in the highest standards of comfort, this relaxing overnight voyage may not set your pulse racing, but it will certainly be among the most memorable experiences of your holiday in India. The deluxe houseboat is staffed by a friendly, professional team on hand to look after your every need, including serving delicious meals that perfectly accompany the setting.
