- A true Darwin must-do
- Get face to face with huge crocodiles
Now, don’t be put off by the title - you’re here to watch some hungry crocodiles get their lunch, you’re not actually going to be the lunch. This essential Darwin experience puts you right in the middle of feeding-time at the famous Crocosaurus Cove, where you’ll be enclosed safely inside a see-through perspex pen, with a first-hand view as the keepers on the outside give the crocs their meal.
As these incredible reptiles, some of the largest Saltwater Crocs in Australia, receive their food, their movements, from snapping jaws to thrashing tails, will be clearly visible. For 15 minutes you’ll have the best seat in the house - the safest way to get right up close with some of the planet’s deadliest predators. Afterwards, spend some time exploring the rest of the Cove, maybe visiting the turtle sanctuary or handling a baby croc. A memorable day out, that’s for sure.
