An authentic village is just a short drive from Siem Reap. It is a scenic and charming location where depending on the time of year you may see villagers weaving thatch to repair roofs, planting trees or vegetables, or making the fiery local rice wine, known as prahoc. Your English-speaking guide will show you a stilt house, you will cycle along red soil paths, and enjoy a typical Khmer lunch with the friendly locals.
For lunch, you will share typical Khmer food with the locals in the village. After lunch you will visit a floating village built on objects that can float on Tonlé Sap. The village moves along the river, and sometimes up to the lake, according to the season. Marvel at the floating school, hospital, and local shops. Later you return to the bus for the drive back to Siem Reap, passing rural villages en route.
