This experience was incredible. My friend and I went looking forward to architecture and fun wine drinking and came out of the experience with so much more—our tour guide Luis was INCREDIBLE. He set the tone for the entire group, was super knowledgeable, funny, and met the needs of all the different personalities in our group of 16 people. Seriously if you go, I highly recommend having Luis as a guide. We also made amazing friends on the day that we later met up with and had even more Barcelona experiences with each other. The wine was great, the views were fantastic and the Basilica is gorgeous. This is a great opportunity to reach the outskirts of Barcelona and see what else the area has to offer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Ask for Luis to have a guide who brings the fun and couples it with the knowledge. A great way for us to start our trip in Spain.

Experience description

The spectacular surroundings of the Montserrat National Park play host to this gourmet Barcelona gift experience. You’ll be joining a guided tour that takes you to several key locations, with amazing views of what they call the “Magic Mountain”, firmly linked to the Catalan identity. Explore the park with your guide, including a short walk to the monastery, before heading onto Oller del Mas Castle, which is home to one of Catalonia’s best-known wineries. The castle, over 1000 years old, is a beautiful site for lunch, and you’ll be served a delicious 3-course meal of local specialities, accompanied by wine, in the clubhouse. If you’re in the mood, feel free to take a dip in the pool as well!

After lunch, you’ll be guided around the estate, seeing the vines, the cellars and the castle’s special “treasure room” where the classic chateaux wines are left to reach perfection. Naturally, you’ll be invited to a tasting session, and so the tour concludes with three premium wines from the estate, as well as a selection of cheeses to accompany them. A classic full-day tour, an irresistible invitation to discover the best of what Montserrat has to offer, and a feast for the senses.
