- Explore the world’s largest salt flat
- One of the must-see destinations in Bolivia
- An extraordinary, unique and mesmerising landscape

No visitor to Bolivia should miss the incredible Eduardo Avaroa Reserve or the Uyuni Salt Flat, and this three-day, two-night tour gives you plenty of time to really take in the epic majesty of the scenery here. You’ll begin in Colchani, gateway to the world’s largest salt flat, where you’ll be astounded by the huge piles of salt around the processing area, and continue on to see the petrified coral, volcanic rock and giant cacti of Fish Island and Incahuasi Island. You’ll overnight at a comfortable hostel near the famous Galaxy Cave.
On day two, you’ll drive south over the flat, brilliantly white desert to enter the Eduardo Alvera National Reserve and see the lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiar Kota, Honda and Ramadita, where the highpoint is surely to be the birdlife on display, from pink flamingoes to Andean gulls. Surrounded by white-capped peaks, the sunset here is unforgettable. Finally, at dawn on day three, you’ll rise early to see the geysers of Sol de Mañana, then warm up in the Termas de Polques hot spring before heading back to Uyuni. This Bolivia gift experience is at times like being on another planet - the stillness and magnetic beauty of the landscape is like driving through a Dali painting.
