- See the point where Bosnia and Herzegovina meet
- Walk across the Old Bridge of Mostar, a UNESCO site
- A day packed with historic and cultural must-sees
Head over the mountains from Sarajevo into the heart of Herzegovina, through outstanding natural beauty. You’ll pause for photographs at the area where Bosnia and Herzegovina meet, before entering the ancient town of Konjic, famed for its wood carvings and which saw considerable damage during the Yugoslav Wars in the 1990s. We can think of few better places to enjoy a traditional Bosnian coffee than beside the beautiful Neretva river.
Your Sarajevo gift experience continues on to Mostar, via Jablanica where you’ll visit the site of an important WWII battle at a ruined train bridge. The beauty of Mostar unfolds before you as you explore the Old Town, the world-famous Old Bridge, and historic Ottoman architecture dating from the 16th century. You’ll have time for lunch and shopping before the tour moves on to the picturesque Ottoman town of Blagaj, where the Buna river begins and the shrine is a national monument.
