This captivating, and deeply moving tour takes you around significant locations connected to the events of of that day, including Ground Zero and the 9/11 Memorial, the 9/11 Museum, and the One World Observatory. You’ll be guided by a local New Yorker with a personal connection to the events, as you learn stories of appalling tragedy and great heroism. You can hear about the experiences of the first emergency responders, read the names of the almost 3000 victims, and see the new World Trade Center as it reaches up into the sky, a defiant symbol that America will not be defeated by terror.
Following your walking tour, you will receive a (timed) entry ticket to the 9/11 Museum. While this part is self-guided, your guide will prep you beforehand on the most important areas to visit. Afterwards, you will also have entry to the One World Observatory, atop the Freedom Tower, an engineering marvel. The SkyPod elevator, rising 1,250 feet in under a minute, brings you to an observation deck from where you will enjoy staggering views over the iconic New York skyline. A sombre, but also uplifting tour that is not to be missed, and will live in your memory for years to come.
