Flamenco is one of the world’s most popular forms of dance, originating from Andalusian folk music and traditions. A soulful form of expression, full of longing and heartbreak, yet energised and deeply rhythmic at the same time. You’ll meet in the bohemian Macarena district of Seville, taking your lesson in an authentic courtyard full of life, where you will learn the basics of this colourful dance from a professional instructor
Your immersion into flamenco culture starts with an introduction to the stories behind a couple of well-known dances, and then you’ll be guided through the basic steps such as heel-clicking and body movement, with some choreography thrown in. By the end of it, as you unwind with your fellow students over a drink and some tapas, you’ll be captivated and ready to throw yourself into it the next opportunity you get!
