- Wonderful excursion to bring your Venetian holiday to an idyllic conclusion
- Tour along the iconic canals of Venice
- Spectacular views along the city’s Grand Canal
It was so-so. While it was a private gondola ride, which we enjoyed, unfortunately it seemed very short (about 15 to 20 minutes) and the gondolier only spoke two sentences (once to mention "Mozart lived here" and once to mention "This is the opera") and that was it. Slightly disappointed.
amazing and easy to get to perfect wedding gift for our honeymoon
Beginning in front of the 17th century Basilica Santa Maria della Salute, at the entrance to the Grand Canal, this 40-minute voyage along the city’s historic waterways is the ultimate Venice experience. You’ll pass many of the city’s well-known landmarks, beautiful architecture dating from the 13th century onwards, including the Palazzo Barbaro, the Ca’ d’Oro, and the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, home to the Guggenheim collection. Majestic palace and gently fading houses form a delightful backdrop to this most romantic of journeys.
As you drift slowly beneath bridges, taking in the sights and sounds of Venice, you’ll be serenaded by your gondolier with traditional Italian songs. Tinggly recommend bringing along a blanket on cold days, and a chilled bottle of champagne, to make the experience even more special.
