- Master the art of driving a snowmobile in Rovaniemi
- Enjoy the silence and beauty of the Finland wilderness
If you’re visiting Rovaniemi, the home of Santa Claus and one of the best places in the world for seeing the Northern Lights, then you must know that this is the kind of place that magic happens. And to get a sense of Finnish Lapland’s true mystery, there’s no better way than to head out into the vast and beautiful wilderness around Rovaniemi, accompanied by a guide. But you won’t get very far on foot, so luckily snowmobiles are provided, and you’ll love the fun of driving one.
You’ll ride out for around 20 kilometres from Rovaniemi, across pristine snowfields, for around two hours. Halfway, your guide will call a halt and share out hot drinks and biscuits as you turn your engines off and enjoy the amazing tranquility of the environment. Kids can ride with their parents, but if you want to ride solo a supplement will apply. And once you get back to your hotel you can have the great debate: what would be more fun to drive: a snowmobile, or Santa’s sleigh?
