Beginning at the famous Hollywood Ranch, used as a location for many movies due to its authentic rustic appearance, you’ll mount up for a gentle ride out of the canyon and into the hills, passing the legendary Hollywood sign, erected in 1923 by a real estate agent, believe it or not. From there you’ll ride through the scenic Griffith Park, a sprawling 500 acre space in central Los Angeles.
The high-point of the excursion, literally, is reaching the summit of Mount Hollywood, the park’s tallest peak, from where you’ll enjoy stunning 360 degree views of the city and ocean. Seeing the hustle and bustle of LA from these peaceful surroundings is something else. On the return journey keep an eye out for the Griffith Observatory, itself a familiar film location from the Terminator to Transformers. After the ride, head back to the ranch for a catered BBQ and live country music.
