360 degrees of paradise is how they advertise it, and they’re not lying. This unbelievable parasailing experience takes you high above the pristine waters of the famous Lake Wanaka, one of the most gorgeous places in New Zealand, which is not exactly short of them! You’ll be strapped into a harness, then lifted into the air by the breeze, floating high above like a bird - a truly life-affirming moment.
With the peaks of Mt Aspiring National Park for the backdrop, you’ll enjoy sensational views of the surrounding area, at peace with the world, before the sail gradually brings you back down to the boat safe and dry. Flights are also available over the equally attractive Lake Hawea, and if you want to bring a friend to film or photograph you on the boat, they can do so for a small supplement. One of the less extreme of New Zealand’s many adventure activities, this is a fantastic flying experience.
