A hot air balloon flight is an elemental thing: earth, then wind and fire. This thrilling flight above Italy’s magnificent Langhe wine region in Piedmont is a real breathtaker - soar high above rolling fields studded with cypress trees, plunging valleys, historic castles on hilltops and vineyards as you follow a course set by the wind. You’ll reach astonishing altitudes of up to 2000 feet, your pilot carefully steering you to ensure you have the most incredible views.

Watch as the balloon is quickly inflated on arrival at Carru, Turin, then climb into the basket for that magical moment as you first begin rising into the air. You will fly for around an hour, then after landing you’ll enjoy the traditional ballooning ceremony of a champagne toast, before returning to the meeting point. This is a simply sublime way to travel and we think it’s the perfect way to compliment a wine-tasting trip around Langhe, or a weekend in Turin.
