- Explore some of Bangkok’s most important temples
- Key Buddhist landmarks including Wat Arun and Wat Pho
An unmissable guided tour if you only have a limited amount of time in the Thai capital, this Bangkok gift experience includes many of the most iconic Buddhist sights in the city. You’ll start at the majestic Temple of the Emerald Buddha, in the grounds of the Grand Palace and widely considered the most important temple in all of Thailand. Next you’ll move on to Wat Pho, which among other treasures holds the spectacular 46m long Reclining Buddha statue. After exploring the temple for a while, you’ll be escorted aboard a boat for a scenic journey to Wang Lang market, where you can browse the stalls for lunch.
In the afternoon, the tour continues at the Temple of the Bells, known for a series of beautiful murals and for holding the deeply sacred Tripitaka scriptures. Wat Arun, a short distance away, is distinguished by its vast Khmer-style pagoda, covered in Chinese porcelain and coloured glass and an unmistakeable sight on the Bangkok skyline. Finally, the tour concludes at Wat Kalaya, on the bank of the Chao Phraya river, where you can see the tower that holds the largest bell in Thailand. A long day of sightseeing, but so worth it if you want to visit most of the city’s key temples in one go.
