Ideal for the short-stay traveller that wants to see the best of the city in one go, this Taipei gift experience takes you out and about with a guide to see some of the city’s best-known highlights. Crucially, the tour takes place in the evening, when Taipei is always at its liveliest. You’ll begin at the famous Longshan Temple, built during the Qing dynasty and noted for its exquisite sculptures and dragon poles. A religious and cultural must-see in Taipei.
The tour continues on to the bustling Huaxi night market, which is actually a combination of three different ones forming a sprawling web of stalls. The perfect place to pick up a tasty snack, a gift for friends back home, or to admire local Taipei handicrafts. Finally, the tour finishes at Taipei 101, which between 2004 and 2009 was the world’s tallest buildings. The lower floors are lined with boutique designer stores, bookshops, cafes and restaurants, so a great place to eat or browse the rails before heading back to your hotel.
