- Enjoy breathtaking sunset views from the Silvestri craters
- Explore a lava cave with a helmet and head lamp
- Sample typical local products such as honey and wine from nearby organic farms
Breathtaking experience! The organisation was very good and the guide was punctual and nice :) I highly recommend it!
The guide was very passionate and knowledgable about Etna having originated from the area. We were provided a great combination of understanding how Etna works, how it is monitored, views of old lava flows and their impact on local communities. Fascinating trip - wear boots!!!
The experience of unforgetable sunset on the top of Etna volcano is a must-to-see!
It starts with a visit to Zafferana Etna, a small city on the Eastern side Mount Etna, famous for its honey production. There is a possibility to visit town's most known organic farms and try delicious samples of local tastes, such as honey or wine. It continues with a walk to a lava cave, which appeared during 1792 eruption. You will hear a brief history about origins of lava flows and forces that create them. Already interesting!
Continue your experience with strolling along the mountain paths to Mount Etna's Sapienza Refuge. Then you are welcome to enjoy a lovely walk around lava flows, which were created during last eruptions, as well as the ancient Silvestri craters which appeared in 1892. Following with an amazing sunset over the breathtaking scenery - it will make a perfect end to this one in a lifetime experience.
