This was much better than hop-on -hop-off tours! Totally the best part of our trip. We had an opportunity to see more than we could see by walking and the bike ride was easy as well, because Bangkok is flat. There were a few narrow walkways and sharp turns however. The two guides had an incredible energy and made the tour fun. I liked the variety of the many city markets, the back streets the farm lands the ride up the small river in a long tail was a delight to see the people living along the river. The only regret I have is that I was unable to take more photos along the way. I recommend it to everyone!
The craziest, the best, the wonderfullest, the most amazing tour! There were so many places a normal tourist would never think to visit on his own! Ott (the guide) gave us loads of interesting information. A must!
Bangkok is a city of two halves - the packed metropolis with its commercial districts, gleaming skyscrapers and the exotica of Khao San Road; and the more sedate, traditional communities where Thai culture continues as it has done for centuries. This well-curated tour takes you through busy Chinatown, with its intriguing sights, sounds and aromas, to the canal region, where you will discover why Bangkok is often called “the Venice of the East.” Here you’ll board a typical long-tail boat, passing homes on wooden stilts and many pleasant scenes of domestic activity that your guide will happily interpret for you.
Following the comfortable longboat ride you’ll return to your bikes for a lovely journey through Bangkok’s green belt, quiet patches of open space a world away from the hubbub of the city centre. After a tasty light lunch you’ll return to Chinatown refreshed, exercised and content.
