- A magical hike through sacred landscape
This superb Hawaii gift experience gives you a slice of Hawaiian history, food and drink, and great exercise in stunning natural surroundings, all in one day! Begin with a relaxed hike through the gorgeous Kaloko-Honokohau National Park past ancient temples and petroglyphs until you reach Honokohau Beach, home to green sea turtles and monk seals. You’ll drive through downtown Kona, and along a stretch of wild coastline along which Captain James Foot landed in 1778.
The tour moves on to several Big Island must-dos, beginning with a fascinating guided tour of a bee farm, where you’ll learn about traditional Hawaiian beekeeping techniques, and of course have a tasting. Afterwards, via the majestic Kealakekua Bay and a narrated walking tour of Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Park, it’s off to a coffee plantation to understand the history and processes of one of Hawaii’s biggest exports, and as you would expect, another tasting plus the opportunity to buy some for later. Incredible value on this fun-packed day.
