We think that this is one of the best nature tours we’ve found on the West Coast so far - a thrilling kayak journey to the famed La Jolla Sea Caves, during which you’ll see sea lions, perhaps dolphins, and even if you’re really lucky, gigantic orcas. No prior kayaking experience is necessary, all instructions are provided. Carry your kayak down to the beach and then set off to one of the most popular ecotourism destinations in San Diego, where if conditions and abilities of the group permit, you’ll be able to enter the caves themselves to see the incredible rock formations within.

During this San Diego gift experience you’ll kayak through the astonishing kelp beds of the La Jolla Ecological Reserves, and enjoy stunning landscape views as well as seeing a wide range of amazing wildlife. It’s not unknown to see dolphins and orcas in these waters, and when you do encounter them - wow. Finish the tour off with an exhilarating wave ride back into the beach. This is a must-do excursion into nature, and one of the classic San Diego visits.
