- We’re crazy for this spectacular bridge climb in Brisbane with incredible views of the city and surrounding area
- There are only 3 bridge climbs in the world!
Opened in 1940, Brisbane’s Story Bridge carries almost 100,000 vehicles every day. Now you can see the scale of operations from a bird’s eye view, with a rare opportunity for a bridge climb. There’s only a few places in the world where you can walk up a bridge such as this, and Brisbane is one of them. Wearing a special suit, you’ll be led up the bridge’s struts to a height of 80m (260 ft) for unsurpassed views of Brisbane. To the north, the Glasshouse Mountains, to the south, the Lamington National Park, to the west, the Moreton Bay Islands, and to the east, Mt Coot-ha and Brisbane Forest Park.
As a matter of fact, we think the only way this thrilling bridge climb can be enhanced any further is by climbing at dawn or dusk. Enjoy an amazing sunrise, and see the city as it starts coming to life, or watch the sun set as everything starts to wind down. You must bring a camera on this tour, the panoramic 360 degree vistas must be seen to be believed. If you’re the adventurous type, you can even climb at night under starry skies. All tours are accompanied by qualified guides and instructors, and you’ll have special communications equipment to help you stay in touch at all times.
