- Discover the amazing story behind Lithuania's tallest building
It was great. Some info on the tinggly coupon was lacking (e.g. the fact that entrance fee was included into the amount 87eur, was not mentioned before, only after we requested tinggly team to send us a digital coupon they have sent us another version, where it stated we have not 70eur for the dinner, but 87eur which would more or less will cover the fee.) So all is good, just that it would be useful to have the same info in the coupons.
The TV Tower in Vilnius, at 326.5m the tallest building in Lithuania, will forever by associated with one of the most momentous events in the country’s history, independence from the Soviet Union. The actions between 11 and 13 January 1991 resulted in the deaths of 14 people, but in the days following the country gained full and total independence after half a century of occupation. So you could not have a more fascinating place to enjoy a meal in Vilnius than the revolving restaurant at the top of the tower. That’s right, we said revolving - you’ll have 360-degree views of the city without ever needing to leave your table!
Take a trip up in the escalator, pausing at the museum to learn about the construction of this unique building and of course its vital role in the ‘Fight for Freedom’ of the Lithuanian people. Then settle down for dinner in the restaurant at 165m, during which you’ll be served a variety of typically delicious Lithuanian cuisine. The conversation is sure to flow, because your view is always changing as the restaurant gently revolves. This meal is sure to be one of the highlights of your stay in Vilnius.
