- Only AJ Hackett bungee in Russia
- Highest bungee in Europe
In 2014 the eyes of the world were on Sochi for the Winter Olympics. But a few years earlier
another, maybe even more exciting event happened, and passed almost unnoticed. That
was the opening of the Skypark by AJ Hackett, the father of commercial bungee jumping and
a legend in the field. So what makes this jump, over the Akhshtyr Gorge in the Mzymta River
valley, so special? Quite simply because at 207 metres this is the highest bungee jump in
both Europe and Russia right now. It is a beast of a bungee.
The Skybridge from where you leap is reckoned to be the longest suspension walking bridge
in the world. It’s set over old-growth forest, a beautiful location for such a mad adrenaline
rush from where you can see as far as the Black Sea coast. If you know anything about
bungee jumping you’ll surely know the name Hackett, and that it’s a mark of quality. This is
without doubt Russia biggest extreme challenge, and if you love an adrenaline rush, you
won’t want to miss this.
