We love this full-day guided tour from Dublin - it’s one of the essential Ireland experiences. You’ll travel by luxury coach through the scenic Boyne Valley, passing the Hill of Tara, ancient capital of the High Kings of Ireland. Along the way you’ll learn about the Battle of the Boyne in 1690, and how it still resonates deeply in Belfast today. On arrival in the city, you’ll have the option of either taking a fascinating political tour in a black cab, through the Falls and Shankill neighbourhoods and past iconic murals. Alternatively you can visit Belfast’s biggest attraction, the Titanic Quarter, and learn the story of the doomed ship in the yards where it was built through a series of fascinating exhibits.
Already you’ve done and seen a lot, but this day is far from over. You’ll continue on to Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with distinctive rock formations spread over 18 miles of coast. It’s the best-known natural attraction in the country, formed 60 million years either by volcanic activity, or an angry giant called Finn McCool, depending on what you believe. Returning to Dublin, you’ll pause at the picturesque ruins of Dunluce Castle, near the famed Bushmills Village, before pausing for a lunch stop. The last activity of the day, on the Antrim Coast, is a crossing over the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge leading from the mainland to the island. Don’t miss this fantastic Dublin gift experience!
